Unimal Received a Certificate of Appreciation from KPU

UNIMALNEWS | Lhokseumawe - Rector of Universitas Malikussaleh, Dr. Herman Fithra and  the Head of Public Relations and External Relations Unit, Teuku Kemal Fasya received a visit from the Independent Election Commission (KIP) of Aceh Utara on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Gedung Pasca Sarjana, Lancang Garam, Lhokseumawe. The Head of KIP Aceh Utara, Zulfikar MH visited Unimal with the KIP Aceh Utara commissioners - Muhammad Usman, M. Sayuni, and Munzir.

This visit was carried out to hand the certificate of appreciation from the Indonesian General  Elections Commission ( KPU) to Unimal for its tremendous  support for the work carried out by KIP Aceh Utara, especially during the 2019 Elections. In the last year's General Elections, many Unimal students and alumni were recruited by KIP Aceh Utara as the committee, both at the village and sub-district levels. "Last year, many Unimal students and alumni assisted us during the Election, and the certificate was given as a form of appreciation," said a member of KIP Aceh Utara, Muhammad Usman.

Zulfikar MH as the Head of KIP Aceh Utara explained that the certificate given was as a form of appreciation to Unimal for its significant contribution during 2019 elections. "We are very grateful to Unimal for its support of the 2019 legislative and presidential elections, especially from the large number of human resources involved in the event," he said. He also hoped that the cooperation can be further extended for the next general election.

The Rector of Unimal stated that Unimal was very happy to welcome the commisioners from KIP Aceh Utara to Unimal and was grateful for the appreciation given. Herman hoped that in the future this collaboration can be enhanced by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of education, research and community service.
