UNIMALNEWS | Bukit Indah | The Inter-Team Sepak Takraw class clinched a gold medal, marking Universitas Malikussaleh's inaugural gold win at the 2023 Regional Student Sports Week (POMDA). Competing at the Sport Center on the Bukit Indah campus in Blang Pulo, Muara Satu, Lhokseumawe City on Sunday (17/09/2023), the Unimal Hebat team convincingly won two straight sets (21-11 and 21-11) against Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK).

In this match, the Unimal Sepak Takraw Team, featuring Riski Ramadhani, Agustiar, Julian Hafizh Fahrusy (Aan), Mauzirul Arif, Mukhrajal, and Fakhruljali, successfully advanced to the final. The team, guided by coach Junaidi and managed by Ade Saputra S.IAN, secured the top position with a two-set victory over Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) Banda Aceh.

"Alhamdulillah, Sepak Takraw has claimed Unimal's first gold medal in the Inter-Team class," expressed Ade Saputra, while coach Junaidi noted, "There are still matches for the next two classes scheduled for tomorrow.
