Students and Lecturers of Unimal's Law Faculty Engages in Inspiring Classroom at UKM

UNIMALNEWS | Kualalumpur — As part of an enriching Visiting Programme, the delegation from the Faculty of Law of Universitas Malikussaleh engaged in an insightful sit-in at an undergraduate class at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) on October 23, 2023. This educational initiative aimed to offer a distinct and immersive classroom experience for the Unimal visiting delegation.

Under the guidance of Dr. Faisal, S.Ag., S.H., M.Hum, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Unimal, and accompanied by Dr. Malahayati, S.H., LL.M., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Marlia Sastro, S.H., M.Hum, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, the participants had the opportunity to attend a lecture and engage in a vibrant discussion on the topic of "Partnership in Business Law."

The engaging class session allowed the Unimal delegation to gain insights into the nuances of business law in the Malaysian context. The session also fostered a deep understanding of the differences and similarities between the legal systems in Indonesia and Malaysia.

What made this experience even more special was the chance for the Unimal participants to interact with students from diverse backgrounds and countries. The international classroom setting provided a unique platform for cross-cultural exchange and networking.

Argya Areta, a Student from Unimal, shared her enthusiasm about the experience, saying, "The sit-in at UKM was a fantastic opportunity to witness international education first-hand. I was able to engage with students from different countries and backgrounds, which broadened my perspective on legal studies."

Dr. Faisal, Dean of the Faculty of Law of Unimal, expressed his appreciation for the immersive experience, stating, "This sit-in allowed our students and faculty to gain practical insights into the legal education offered at UKM. It was a valuable experience that will undoubtedly enrich our academic programs."

The Organizing Manager of Visiting Programme, Dr. Malahayati states that “This Visiting Programme emphasizes Unimal's commitment to providing a global perspective to its students and fostering international academic cooperation. It serves as a testament to the dedication of both institutions to promoting academic excellence and cultural exchange.” And She hopes that this programme will be annual agenda for students and lecturers of Universitas Malikussaleh.
