The Civil Engineering Program at Universitas Malikussaleh Achieves "Excellent" Accreditation

UNIMALNEWS | Lhokseumawe - The Civil Engineering Program of the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Malikussaleh, has received "Excellent" accreditation. This decision was made by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Engineering Study Programs (LAM Teknik) on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

The Chairperson of the LAM Teknik PII (Indonesian Engineers Association) Committee, Prof. Dr. Ing. Ir. Misri Gozan, MTech, IPU, ASEAN Eng, signed a decision based on Decree No. 0830/SK/LAM Teknik/AS/XII/2024. As a result, the Civil Engineering undergraduate (S1) program at Universitas Malikussaleh is entitled to receive "Excellent" accreditation. The certificate is valid from December 21, 2024, to December 21, 2029.

M. Fauzan, MT, the Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Universitas Malikussaleh, expressed his happiness about the great results from one of the university's oldest programs. He thanked the Civil Engineering accreditation team for their hard work, which was supported by the Rector, Dean, Quality Assurance Unit, Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M), Career and Entrepreneurship Development Unit (UPT BKK), ICT Center, Public Relations team, and all Civil Engineering lecturers. "This success will motivate us to further improve the Civil Engineering Department and achieve even greater accomplishments," he stated.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Civil Engineering Program, Nura Usrina, M.T., shared her positive remarks about the program's outstanding achievement. "This is the result of long-term efforts. Thank you to everyone who supported and prayed for the success of the Civil Engineering Program. This success is proof that hard work always pays off. We hope to continue earning this trust," she said with a smile.

The Rector of Universitas Malikussaleh, Prof. Dr. Herman Fithra, ASEAN Eng., also extended his congratulations on the success of the program, which is his alma mater. "I felt that the excellent accreditation achieved by other programs at Universitas Malikussaleh wouldn't feel complete if Civil Engineering hadn't attained it as well. Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for is here," said Herman Fithra. He believes that the high demand for the Civil Engineering program at Universitas Malikussaleh demonstrates that its graduates are highly qualified and will be able to contribute significantly to development in Indonesia and Southeast Asia [tkf/sis]
